*A trio is defined as 1 male and 2 females entries must meet this requirement to be eligible.

Eligibility to Show 

Entries into the Guppy/Endler class require 1 Male and 2 Females as a trio to be eligible.
Children under the age of 18 require a guardian present throughout the show, or during benching in times.

No post in entries allowed, all entries must be delivered and picked up by entrant

Any persons with current AsoV membership are eligible to show.

Unhealthy or sick fish will be disqualified/not accepted during bench in.


Entries close on August 25th 2023

All entry forms must be submitted and all entry fees paid no later than Friday August 25th 2023

Entry fees will be accepted via Direct debit or Cash in hand.

Benching in Entries

We encourage you to bring your own entries and bench your fish yourself, in accordance with the above timeline. This is the only time available for bringing your own show entries. Late entries will not be accepted. Please email us if you will have difficulties making this time. info@asov.com.au

Entrants may bring in their own aquarium setups with a minimum size of 10x10cm, This includes any substrate, filtration, heating and water that they wish. Alternatively AsoV will provide all of the equipment necessary with pre-treated water.

Benching out

Fish are not permitted to be removed without the assistance of a show steward or during any other times then the above. Entrants must provide their own containers for removal of fish. 

Auction of Entrants Fish

Only fish which have been entered in the show may be included in the auction. This is an optional part of participating in the show

Auction proceeds will be returned via Direct Debit / Cash collected on the day if you are present. 
Should you wish to participate in the auction, we request that you indicate a reserve price/ minimum bid (otherwise we will get the best price for you).  
If a fish doesn’t meet the reserve it will be passed-in and you must collect the fish between 2-3pm on the 2/09/23 or between 12pm-3pm 3/09/23. Please specify if you do not want fish to be returned, any unsold fish that the owner does not want returned becomes a donation to the club. 
Please know which fish you will and will not be auctioning when you submit your entry forms, changes are incredibly difficult for us to do during the show.

Trading Table 

A standard AsofV Trading Table will be run during the event. 
You must be physically in attendance in order to participate in selling at the Trading Table.
Only ASoV members may participate in the Trading Table.
On arrival, please complete or hand in a pre-filled Trading Table form and hand this to the Trading Table Steward with your items. 
All items should be clearly marked with the price and a description of the item. 
All items must be related to the aquarium hobby. Dry goods, equipment, fish food and plants are all acceptable.
